Maura is a program director at the Northern Forest Center, a non-profit organization that creates economic opportunity and community vitality while fostering sound forest stewardship across the Northern Forest of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. She’s lived in Concord with her husband – a Five Rivers easement monitor along Elm St. in Penacook – for 11 years and cares deeply about land conservation and stewardship. Previously, Maura worked as environmental stewardship manager at St. Paul’s School and in green building consulting and municipal natural resource management at the Jordan Institute.
She has a master’s degree in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. You can often find Maura, her husband, and their little white dog running or riding the local trail networks!
