February 7th – A Talk by Sy Montgomery

How To Be A Good Creature – A talk by Sy Montgomery

Couldn’t we all use a little dose of how to be a good creature in the world? Join us on February 7th at 1pm for a fun and restorative event for the whole family – virtually!

Naturalist, author, and New Hampshire resident Sy Montgomery has traveled the world and encountered some of the planet’s rarest and most beautiful animals. From tarantulas to tigers, Sy’s life continually intersects with and is informed by the creatures she meets.

As in her book by the same name, Sy reflects on the personalities and quirks of thirteen animals — Sy’s friends — and the truths revealed by their grace. Sy’s talk will be illustrated with photos from the field and tender and sensitive artwork by Rebecca Green.

Click the Play button below to watch the book trailer for Sy Montgomery’s children’s book Becoming a Good Creature. You will have the opportunity to order her book How to Be a Good Creature: A Memoir in Thirteen Animals, written for more advanced readers, when you register below.

Your book purchase will be held for pickup at the location you specify. The book purchase includes a Five Rivers bookplate personally autographed by Sy which will be mailed separately to you.
