Bohanan Farm has been in existence since Lester Bohanan bought the land in 1907. From the 1930s on, the farm became primarily a dairy farm and has grown with every new generation. Lester’s great-grand-daughter, Heather, married Jaime Robertson, who currently manages the over 400-cow operation.

In 2009, the town of Hopkinton worked with Five Rivers Conservation Trust to purchase a conservation easement on Bohanan Farm’s 413 acres, excluding an area around the house and barns. The property includes four miles of frontage on three different rivers, the Contoocook, Blackwater and Warner Rivers.

After the land was under easement, Jaime Robertson created the Contoocook Creamery at Bohanan Farm, which brings you the old-fashioned goodness of wholesome, fresh, locally produced milk in glass bottles. Yes, that’s right, returnable glass bottles! Ask for it in your favorite stores and restaurants in the Concord area.
