Sarah is a retired wetland ecologist, who worked as a consultant for Normandeau Associates in Bedford, NH, for 32 years. Her education includes a BS in wildlife biology from UVM and a MS in wetland ecology from URI. She worked for 7 years in salt marsh research in Woods Hole, MA. Her work took her to ecosystems throughout New Hampshire, the larger Northeast and the South. Locally she served on the Warner Conservation Commission for 16 years and on various other town committees, and conducts easement monitoring. She has always been passionate about land conservation and is happy to contribute to the Five Rivers board.

She lives in Warner with her husband Richard, dog Finn, and The Cat. Her two sons are grown, which leaves her time for hiking, kayaking, skiing, gardening, etc. Another volunteer activity is assisting at BITS Equine Therapy Stable where she does anything they need for the horses and clients.
